This used to be a Wetherspoons pub..Until it was torched by the scum of the earth during last nights rioting.. You can just see a trace of a sign from one of the buildings earlier entities, World of Leather.. I can also remember buying a car here in the early 70s when the place was a showroom for Datsun cars. It originally opened as a showroom for Dagenham Motors and has also been a branch of Fads .. copyright Chris mansfield

The building started its life as the Grand theatre at the turn of the 20th century.. In 1908 it became the Woolwich Hippodrome.. The ABC cinema group took the building in 1935 and demolished it in 1939 to build a new Cinema. However the war prevented the building from being completed until 1955. The cinema closed in 1982 and then saw service as a couple of different night clubs. In 2011 the place once again opened as a community entertainment venue copyright Chris mansfield
