This turning was once called Eleanor Road .. The building on the corner was originally a HQ for the Woolwich equitable society, built in 1896, until Equitable house was built in the mid 1930s..This corner unit has also been home to "John Collier" menswear. Just inside Barnard close in the 1970s was a branch of BSM British school of Motoring.
