This used to be the premises of a clothing shop called Blue Inc' ... Arsonists set it alight and the building collapsed , taking with it the homes and posessions of two students living upstairs
Travelodge hotels are renovating the old Co op building and the clock tower is being rebuilt and fitted with a new clock mechanism

Clarkes factory shop and view down Powis st. When the property was first built in the 60s, it was occupied by George Scobles bathroom supplies .. Later it was home to Brentford nylons before becoming Clarkes

Most of Powis street was cordoned off on tuesday, but as I am well known to the local police I managed to wangle my way in... this is just a shot looking back at the onlookers..

This is the NatWest bank on the corner of Powis Street. Taken on a sunny sunday morning in March 2009. This property was built in 1950-60 and opened on March 4th 1960 as Easterns furniture store. Later it became Willams furniture then Wades furniture
