These two buildings are the remains of a row of 7 similar ones.. that were built around the turn of the century 1896-1902, designed by H.H.Church Warren James used to be Swears and Wells in the 50s and Salad Bowl in the 80s and Krisp was Shoefayre in the 60s and "Fashion ways" in the 80s

Warren James is number 25 .. During the 1960s there was a branch of "Swears and Wells" at this address .. In the 80s it was "The Salad Bowl" The shop with the DKZ sign used to be Martin Ford and has also been a butcher shop called Stent & Lintorn in the 20s Krisp was "Fashionways " in the 80s
