This old building ( designed by H.Church ) was built in 1901 for Edwin Robson, a draper.. In later years it was taken over by the Co op as a chemist's and Opticians.

The art deco co op building on Powis street is being redeveloped into a mix of apartments with retail units on Powis street .. At the time of this picture the inside of the building was being gutted.. Completion is expected around Christmas 2014.
